Title: Dressed to kill "Picture disc" (6399 059 - A/B)
Label: Stemra
Released: Switzerland 90īs
Comment: Limited edition
Notes: Dressed to kill were the only studio album not produced as an official picture disc during the 80īs. Not entirely unlikely, a bootleg edition were produced in different variations. The first known edition was not numbered (without a numbered box on the B side). The second issue I have encountered had a numbered box,
white background with writing in black ink. Not entirely unlike the other official picture disc releases from the Kiss catalogue.
Title: Alive "Picture disc" (6640 026 - A/B)
Label: Stemra
Released: Germany
Comment: Limited edition
Notes: Alive was never released officially. Under the same circumstances as Dressed to kill, but from a different manufacturer.
Title: Destroyer (DES 444 - A/B)
Label: White label with credits
Released: Russia 90īs
Comment: Russian release with different cover
Notes: The vinyl is an official Russian release, not a new print. The cover is a copy of the painting due to the Destroyer LP cover, a new print.
The official Russian release of Destroyer with original cover-art can be seen quite often for less money, this release is a rarity.
The number of copies are few and I donīt have the exact number. Consulted 200 copies?
Title: Love gun (RAT 30898 - A/B)
Label: Red label with black credits
Released: Russia 90īs
Comment: Russian release with different cover
Notes: The cover is a copy of the painting due to an early version of the Love gun cover. The vinyl is an official Russian release, not a new print.
The number of copies are few and I donīt have the exact number. Consulted 200 copies?
Title: Alive II "Picture disc" (6399 059 - A/B)

Title: 4x Japanese Solo Picture discīs (VIPD - 1/2/3/4 A/B)
Paul Stanley "VIPD-1": Disc Front / Disc back / Back-cover / Insert Front / Insert Back / Insert fold-out
Gene Simmons "VIPD-2": Disc Front / Disc Back / Back-cover / Insert Front / Insert Back / Insert fold-out
Ace Frehley "VIPD-3": Disc Front / Disc Back / Back-cover / Insert Front / Insert Back / Insert fold-out
Peter Criss "VIPD-4": Disc Front / Disc Back / Back-cover / Insert Front / Insert Back / Insert fold-out
Obi: Obi back-cover
Released: Germany
Comment: A re-release of the original Japanese Picture discīs
1) The color of the jacket. These jackets have a dark black color while the original ones could be described as:
"a black color with some kind of extremely thin laminate layer on it, not to dark."
2) Colors of the discs donīt have a deep and vivid color as the originals, especially the red color.
3) Song titles on the back covers are written in red color overall, original editions are written using the following colors: Paul/purple, Gene/red, Ace/blue and Peter/green.
4) Lyrics inserts are more like photocopies, not as sharp as the original.
5) The Obiīs are slightly bigger.
6) The picture-art of the record havenīt been cutted as good as the original releases (see picture)
Notes: Paulīs release never came with an Obi. If youīll see an Obi, there will probably be another one, Gene, Ace or Peter.
Iīve heard the manufacturer never had the original Obi in the printing progress.
These were released again or as earlier presses without covers and inserts. It's very common to find only the records without contents in auction sites.
Title: The Best Of "Picture disc" (NB-7060 A/B)
Label: Bellaphon
Released: Germany 90īs
Comment: Limited edition
Notes: Although this record was released as a bootleg and has never been officially released. The catalog number appears to be German.
The disc is easy to obtain on ebay Germany quite often, itīs pretty obviously that it was released in Germany.
Title: Unmasked "Picture disc" (6302 032 - A/B)
Label: Stemra
Released: Germany
Comment: Limited edition, not numbered.
Notes: With the difference to the above mentioned, Unmasked have been released both as a bootleg copy and a official numbered release. Just like the other bootleg versions, this is not numbered. I have no idea why this was released as a bootleg, probably everybody know that all the official picture discīs are a sought after piece of collecting, someone made a choice to put them out again for the fans.
Title: Creatures of the night (6302 219 - A/B)
Label: Casablanca Filmworks Azul Series
Released: 2006
Comment: Re-release with Vinnie on cover, Brazilian release.
Notes: A record placed again on the basis of an official release. Youīre always suspicious about what it really is, this is such a release. Instead of Ace on the cover heīs been replaced by Vinnie. There is also a color print on the front cover saying: "Brasil Tour 1983". Vinyl is an official release with a promo stamp placed on the center ring. The record sleeve has a sticker placed on the back cover. I can not say for sure what this release might be today but has been strongly suspected. I think this is a bootleg cover with an authentic vinyl. What might reveal this a little bit, by the use of Promostickers, it is easy to change places on them. I have never seen a promo release from South America with a promo-stamp or a color print like this before. The cover seems to have a brighter blue color than the original one, a bit less color printing. Whenever the disc is for sale, it always looks very good, mint condition cover. In the beginning there was talk of 50 copies made. Recently, I heard 200 copies. The last-mentioned sounds more likely. Given the number of sold and you got a faint suspicion of more copies than 50.

Notes: There exist a number of different variations. Just like the "Chikara" release, there is a test press with a white B-side. Another one with a
white A-side. A third wich is plain white on both sides. Others do have the same images on both sides, A+A and B+B.
Title: Psycho circus "Picture disc" (PLP 31453.8137-2 - A/B)
Label: Polygram / Mercury
Released: Germany
Comment: Limited edition
Notes: A version with original logo was planned but has not been released because the version with "ZZ" logo sold not good enough to make
enough profit for another version. This is also described as a Promotional copy which is more or less an insurance policy against it is a bootleg.
A few misspressings exists, one were boths sides of the disc plays the A-side, another one with a plane white B-side.

Title: Rockīn roll over "Picture disc" (VIP-6376-P A/B)
Label: ?
Cover: Back-board with folded Obi (Front, Back with opened Obi)
Released: 2010
Comment: Re-issue "Japanese variant"
Notes: A "Japanese version" with different colorings against the Dutch official release. It has the same catalogue number as the official Japanese release on black vinyl. In addition to the disc they have also made a back-board with pictures and titles, where one side has a folding Obi. Rumors have said that 100 copies were made. Printed in EU?
Title: Kiss "Picture disc" (6399 047 - A/B)
Label: Stemra
Released: 90īs
Comment: Limited edition
Notes: A pretty poor reprint. It seems to have a large scratch on the top of the back (and a few other places) but it's just the picture in the paper, not in the actual vinyl. On the front there is one bright spot to the left of Geneīs face. Itīs a round piece of paper that is embedded in the vinyl. Unnoticed when listening and nothing contained in the track. These small errors are of course only on the disc pictured but other releases have certainly similar errors and it suggests that there are no experts who have pressed them. Another thing that differs against the official release is that the numbered box on the back have been deleted with a black color print,
not numbered. This is something that is consistently in most of the counterfeit releases from the Kiss catalog. Some releases were the numbering or the white box is simply removed, or crossed out. In this case, deleted with a black color print. Itīs not unusual that people may think these are original releases from Netherlands
were the rest of the original releases came from.
